This song is about the ways in which social media has affected our lives. It focuses on the idea that whilst there have been "great moments of mobilisation" fostered by the advent of social media, this shift in human engagement/connection has reinforced a self-centred narrative that thrives on division. The song suggests that our interactions with one another have lost a sense of humility and our sense of self-importance (and simultaneously self-loathing) has increased because of this. The song also eludes to the idea that we have become addicted to this way of life and it is influencing "...our shitty mental health".
